چکیده
abstract: knee joint has major role in lower extremity activities. emong different elements of knee joint complex, anterior cruciate ligament has becom more interested because of its alignment, structural complication, varied never receptors and frequently susceptibility to injury. afterinjury of this ligament knee extensor torque decreases. the aim of this research was that reduce of quadriceps torque exist in spit of rehabilitation in iran. methods: 10 healthy men(age:22-35years) and 10 patients with acl deficiency (age:23-42 years) participated in this study. after primary assessment, functional vertical jump test was done for each lower extremity. also the subjects fill in lysholm questionnaire. result: willcoxson test, manwithny test and spearman correlation coefficient were used. results showed that there was significant diference between meen functional scores of dominant and non dominant lower extremity of the control group. the same result was seen in the patients. also there was significant diference between meen lysholm scores of the patients and control group. the was no relationship between lysholm score and functional test. conclusion: it is clear that after anterior cruciate ligament injury, in spite of rehabilitation the quadriceps muscle strength vertical jump. thus they may replace compensatory mechanisms

Effect of Custom Molded Functional Brace on Balance in Patients with Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tearing
Background & Aims: Knee joint is a complex structure and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear is one of the most common injuries of it. Anterior cruciate ligament, because of its proprioceptive function, has an important role in balance control and its tearing may tend to balance control deficiency. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of functional brace on the balance in p...
متن کاملPartial tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament: diagnosis and treatment
Partial tears of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) are common and represent 10-27% of the total. The main reasons for attending to cases of non-torn bundles are biomechanical, vascular and proprioceptive. Continued presence of the bundle also serves as protection during the healing process. There is controversy regarding the definition of these injuries, which is based on anatomy, clinical e...

OBJECTIVE To investigate the existence of proprioceptive deficits between the injured limb and the uninjured (i.e. contralateral normal) limb, in individuals who suffered complete tearing of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), using a strength reproduction test. METHODS Sixteen patients with complete tearing of the ACL participated in the study. A voluntary maximum isometric strength test w...
متن کاملFailure of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
The present review classifies and describes the multifactorial causes of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery failure, concentrating on preventing and resolving such situations. The article particularly focuses on those causes that require ACL revision due to recurrent instability, without neglecting those that affect function or produce persistent pain. Although primary ACL reconstructio...
متن کاملAnterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with or without Bracing
Background: Rupture of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) would cause instability and disability and if left untreated. Reconstruction is performed by different techniques including patellar bone graft, as the strongest device. Application of brace after ACL reconstructions has revealed doubtful results. Methods: One hundred ACL ruptured patients randomized into two groups were reconstructed with...
